The State Department has issued a public notice identifying all the countries eligible for trade in rough diamonds under the Clean Diamond Trade Act of 2003 and those participants' respective Importing and Exporting Authorities. According to the State Department, this notice revises the previously published list of October 26, 2005 to include New Zealand. 2. FDA Requests Comments on Proposal for Developing and Updating Regulatory Requirements for Medical Devices

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a notice announcing the availability of and requesting comments on several proposed and final documents which represent a harmonized proposal and recommendation from Global Harmonization Task Force (GHTF) Study Groups that may be used by governments developing and updating their regulatory requirements for medical devices. Comments on any of the proposed documents should be submitted by January 22, 2007. 3. BIS Information Systems TAC to Hold Open Meeting

The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has announced an open meeting of the Information Systems Technical Advisory Committee (ISTAC) on November 8, 2006 in Washington, DC. ISTAC advises the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Export Administration on implementation of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and provides for continuing review to update the EAR as needed. BIS has announced an open meeting of the Transportation and Related Equipment Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) on November 9, 2006 in Washington, DC.
