On June 15, 2006, the President signed into law H.R. 4939, the 2006 Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act for Defense, the Global War on Terror and Hurricane Recovery. 2. BIS Applies Wang Denial Order to Related Party Qu
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has issued an order naming Jian Guo Qu a related person to the Ruo Ling Wang denial order and revoking all licenses issued in which Qu had an interest at the time of Wang's conviction as detailed in the BIS notice. The denial of export privileges described in the Wang denial order has been made applicable to Qu until its expiration on May 2, 2015 as outlined in the BIS notice. 3. State Dept International Telecommunications Committee Meetings
The State Department has issued a notice stating that the U.S. International Telecommunication Advisory Committee (ITAC) will hold a meeting on July 6, 2006 in the Washington, DC Metro area in order to prepare for a meeting of the Organization of American States Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL) Conference Preparatory Committee that will take place July 10-12, 2006 in Costa Rica. ITAC will also hold meetings on August 8 and 24, 2006 in the Washington, DC in order to prepare for CITEL PCC.I (Telecommunication).
