New SENTRI Lane Opens at San Ysidro Port. CBP has issued a press release stating that on June 10, 2005, U.S. and Mexican officials announced the opening of a new Secure Electronic Network for Travelers Rapid Inspection (SENTRI) vehicle traffic lane at the San Ysidro port of entry. According to the press release, the new lane brings to three the number of fast-pass traffic lanes now available at the busy port to process travelers and vehicles that have passed background checks and inspections.
