1. Various CBP Web Postings

TSN Account Committee ACE user requirement recommendation on carnets. The Trade Support Network's (TSN's) Account Committee has posted its Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) user requirement recommendation regarding the automation process for carnets (ACT-036). List of CBP approved gaugers and accredited laboratories. A list of gaugers and accredited laboratories that have been approved by CBP that includes the name, address, and phone number for each company listed. Revised AESTIR Appendix A. Effective May 16, 2005, Appendix A (Commodity Filing Response Messages) contained in the Automated Export System Trade Interface Requirements (AESTIR) has been updated to include two new response codes - Response Code 421 (ULT CONS DATA ON FILE INCOMPLETE; RESEND) and Response Code 422 (INT CONS DATA ON FILE INCOMPLETE; RESEND). CBP Commissioner speech to the American Association of Exporters and Importers. On May 24, 2005, CBP Commissioner Bonner spoke to the American Association of Exporters and Importers (AAEI) regarding the World Customs Organization's (WCO's) Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade. During his speech, Commissioner Bonner also announced the creation of a division within the CBP Office of International Affairs to assist countries in obtaining detection equipment and training in security and risk management. 2. Miscellaneous CBP Messages on AD and CV Duty Actions

CBP has issued messages on a number of antidumping (AD) and countervailing (CV) duty actions, many of which (marked by an * in the action column) were previously published in the Federal Register by the International Trade Administration (ITA) and summarized in International Trade Today.

(The CBP messages marked with an * cover much of the same information as the ITA notices; however, CBP's messages often list the 10-character case number specific to each listed company(s). ITA notices only list the 7-character master case number. In addition, sometimes the master case number for CBP purposes (in parentheses, below, where applicable) differs from the ITA master case number.)
