ITC Investigation on Waiving GSP CNLs for Certain Plywood, Contact Lenses, Silver Jewelry & Photocopying Apparatus

The International Trade Commission (ITC) has instituted an investigation at the request of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) entitled, Advice Concerning Possible Modifications to the U.S. Generalized System of Preferences, 2004 Special Review.

The ITC does not plan to hold a public hearing in this investigation; however, comments should be submitted by May 6, 2005. According to the ITC, it will seek to provide its advice to the USTR no later than May 31, 2005.

Waiving GSP CNLs for Certain Products from Indonesia & Thailand

The ITC will provide advice on whether any industry in the U.S. is likely to be adversely affected by a waiver of the GSP competitive need limits (CNLs) for the following country/tariff number combinations:
