4. WTO Appellate Body Upholds U.S. Internet Gambling Restrictions

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has issued a press release announcing that the World Trade Organization (WTO) Appellate Body has sided with the U.S. on key issues in Antigua's challenge to U.S. laws on internet gambling. According to the USTR, the ruling means that U.S. restrictions on internet gambling can be maintained with a few clarifications. 2. FDA Updates Compliance Policy Guide on Imported Milk and Cream

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced the availability of an updated compliance policy guide (CPG) entitled "Sec. 560.400 - Imported Milk and Cream - Federal Import Milk Act (CPG 7119.05)," which provides guidance on the applicability of the Federal Import Milk Act (FIMA) to imported milk and cream. 3. ITA Quarterly Update to Annual List of Foreign Subsidies on Cheese

The International Trade Administration (ITA), in consultation with the Secretary of Agriculture, has prepared its quarterly update to the annual list of foreign government subsidies on articles of cheese subject to an in-quota rate of duty during the period October 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004. The ITA states that it is publishing the current listing of those subsidies that it has determined exist.
