According to CBP sources, such comments are due by April 14, 2005.
In the letter, the Director of CBP's Office of Trade Relations states that in an effort to ensure ACE functionality meets the needs of the trade community as rapidly as possible, CBP is asking for a current assessment of how well ACE is working, any problems that are being experienced with an ACE account or other operations, and what additional functionality would be particularly useful in the near term.
According to the letter, although such issues are addressed in the Trade Support Network (TSN) and other forums on an ongoing basis, as CBP's Office of Trade Relations advocates the trade's interest within CBP, the trade's current views on ACE are being requested.
The letter states that input received will be shared with CBP leadership and will help guide CBP's near-term development efforts.
The Office of Trade Relations states that the trade should email comments to traderelations@dhs.gov.
