The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has issued a statement that the U.S. is willing to continue talks with the EU based on the table set forth in a January 11, 2005 agreement on the terms of negotiation to end large commercial aircraft subsidies; however, the USTR states that the EU keeps digressing from that table. 2.Advisory Committee on Private International Law to Meet on March 29
The State Department has announced that the Study Group on Enforcement of Judgments of the Secretary of State's Advisory Committee on Private International Law will hold an open meeting on March 29, 2005 in Alexandria, VA. The purpose of the meeting is to seek consultations on intellectual property rights aspects of the proposed draft Hague Convention on Exclusive Choice of Court Agreements (which is scheduled to be considered at a Hague Conference on Private International Law to be held on June 14-30, 2005). 3. BIS Issues Order Temporarily Denying Export Privileges of Certain Entities
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has issued an order, effective March 14, 2005, that denies certain export privileges for a period of 180 days with respect to the following persons and companies for violations of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR):
Gold Technology Limited, Hero Peak Limited, Joanna Liu, Portson Trading Limited, and Sunford Trading Limited, all of Hong Kong;
Zhenke International Trading Co. Ltd., of Tianjin, China; and
Oriental Trading Corporation of Islamabad, Pakistan.

4. DOT Proposed Rule on Hazmat Standards for UN Cylinders
The Department of Transportation's (DOT's) Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) has issued a proposed rule that would amend the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) to adopt standards for the design, construction, maintenance and use of cylinders and multiple element gas containers (MEGCs) based on the standards contained in the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods.
