CBP Announces Registration for January 13-14, 2005 Trade Symposium is Nearing Capacity
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a press release announcing that registration for its 5th annual Trade Symposium, which is scheduled for January 13-14, 2005, is proceeding at a quick pace and nearing capacity.

CBP states that it has received nearly 400 confirmed registrants since it opened registration on November 1, 2004.
According to CBP, this year's theme is "Security and Facilitation of Trade: The Way Forward." The event will include discussions between senior CBP managers and representatives of the international trade and transportation community. Panels for the symposium will include a Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Border and Transportation Security (BTS) Executive roundtable, Trade Act of 2002 implementation, Bioterrorism Act of 2002, the Container Security Initiative (CSI), and the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).
The Trade Symposium, which will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC, will open with a pre-registration reception on the evening of January 12, 2005, followed by a day and a half of events beginning January 13, 2005.
Symposium Registration Must be Made Online
CBP states that registration for the Trade Symposium must be made online, and the registration fee is $150.
