The International Trade Administration (ITA) has initiated an antidumping (AD) duty investigation of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) from Taiwan.

Scope of the Investigation: The merchandise covered by this investigation is PVA which consists of all PVA hydrolyzed in excess of 80%, whether or not mixed or diluted with commercial levels of defoamer or boric acid.

HTS Subheading for the Investigation: This merchandise is currently classifiable under Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) 3905.30.00.

Although the HTS subheading is provided for convenience and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) purposes, the written description of the merchandise under investigation is dispositive.

Exclusion from the Investigation: PVA in fiber form is not included in the scope of this investigation.
