This is Part II, the final part of a multi-part series of summaries on these newly posted ACE Truck e-manifest documents and highlights the remainder of CBP's various ACE Truck e-Manifest documents. June 28-29, 2003 eManifest Trucks EDI Information Presentations
CBP has made available in both PowerPoint and PDF formats its 113 page document which contains its June 28-29, 2004 eManifest Trucks EDI Information Presentations.
This document consists of various charts and graphs, along with some more descriptive information regarding ACE Truck e-Manifest.
The following are excerpts of some of CBP's descriptive information on e-Release:
- FAST
o FAST transactions will be filed in the same manner as today
o FAST transactions may be viewed via the ACE Secure Data Portal, but may not be created or modified via the ACE Secure Data Portal
- PAPS
o Entry pre-filed in ACS
o Bar code will not be needed
o Shipment control number (SCN) and, if applicable, Bill Control Number (BCN), must match SCN/BCN number supplied on the entry
o Current limit of three PAPS shipments at primary will be removed
o Manifest and entry information is reconciled
- BRASS
o C-4 code numbers will be entered by the carrier onto the manifest shipment records
o BRASS bar codes will not be needed
o At time of release entry number will be assigned
- Section 321
o 19 CFR 143.23(j)
o Country of origin and value will be entered into the manifest shipment records
o With these additional data elements the manifest becomes the entry
o Maximum value is $200
ACE EDI Message Drafts
CBP has also posted various new ACE EDI Message Drafts, which CBP says are released as an initial advisory to the trade of the anticipated messages to be used in future releases of ACE, including updated MEDPID EDI Messages for Crew, Conveyance, and Equipment and New Modified ACE EDI Messages for Release 4 - Truck Manifest.
