CBP Administrative Messages, Electronic Bulletin Board Notices, Etc
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued an ABI administrative message announcing that the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA's) Prior Notice System Interface (PNSI) will be down for maintenance on Saturday, September 18, 2004 from approximately 3:00 a.m. (0300) to 8:00 a.m. (0800) EDT. According to CBP, FDA's Operational and Administrative System for Import Support (OASIS) system will not be affected.

(According to CBP, this message is a change from an earlier message (Adm: 04-2024) which stated that FDA's OASIS system would be down for maintenance on Saturday, September 18, 2004 from approximately 12:00 p.m. (1200) to 2:00 p.m. (1400) EDT.) 2. CBP Posts its August 2004 Modernization Newsletter
CBP has posted to its Web site the August 2004 issue of its U.S. Customs and Border Protection Modernization newsletter. The August 2004 issue of this newsletter includes articles regarding the success of the first monthly payments in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), new Intelligent Information Factory (IIF) technology scoring highly with pilot users at the National Targeting Center (NTC), the meeting of federal agency representatives in July 2004 as part of the Government Support Network (GSN), and the completion of 157 periodic payment outreach events by ACE Ambassadors.
