U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a notice announcing that the next meeting of the Departmental Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection and Related Functions (COAC) will be held on September 10, 2004 in Buffalo, NY. (This committee was previously called the "Treasury Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of the U.S. Customs Service.")

According to CBP, at the September 10, 2004 meeting, COAC is expected to pursue the following agenda (subject to change):
Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) Subcommittee
Security Subcommittee (Advance Cargo Information, World Customs Organization (WCO) Security, and Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) Process Review)
Automation Issues (Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) funding and development schedule, and Automated Commercial System (ACS) downtime)
International Trade Data System (ITDS)
Agriculture Subcommittee
Creation of Infrastructure Subcommittee
Bioterrorism Act
Focused Assessment Program
CBP states that since seating is limited, all persons attending this meeting should provide notice to Monica Frazier at (571) 227-3977 no later than 2 p.m. EST on September 7, 2004.
