AD: Taiwan Polyethylene Terephthalate Film, Sheet, and Strip

The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued its final results of the antidumping (AD) duty administrative review of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film, sheet, and strip from Taiwan for the review period of December 21, 2001 through June 30, 2003.

Final Results of AD Duty Administrative Review

For shipments with a time of entry on or after August 13, 2004, suspension of liquidation will continue for the following companies at the AD cash deposit rate (equal to the weighted average margin) below:

(a) For previously reviewed or investigated companies not listed above, the cash deposit rate will continue to be the company-specific rate published for the most recent period.

(b) If the exporter is not a firm covered in this review, a prior review, or the original AD investigation, but the manufacturer is, the cash deposit rate will be the rate established for the most recent period for the manufacturer of the merchandise;

(c) If neither the exporter or the manufacturer is a firm covered in these or any previous reviews conducted by the ITA, the cash deposit rate will be 2.56%, the "all others" rate established in the original investigation.

Assessment Instructions for the Review Period (12/21/01 - 06/30/03)

The ITA states that it will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to liquidate entries of the subject merchandise during the review period that are from Nan Ya and Shinkong at the calculated importer-specific or customer-specific assessment rates (unless it is zero or de minimis (i.e., less than 0.50%), in which case liquidation will occur without regard to AD duties).
