The Department of Commerce (DOC) has issued a press release announcing that it has opened a new U.S. Export Assistance Center in West Texas to serve small and medium-sized companies in over 70 counties. The new office will help companies in communities from Abilene to El Paso and Big Bend to Amarillo get involved in exporting their goods and services. 2. National Industrial Security Program Policy Advisory Committee to Meet
The Information Security Oversight Office has announced that the National Industrial Security Program Policy Advisory Committee will meet on September 15, 2004 in Washington, DC. This meeting will be open to the public and interested parties must submit their intent to attend no later than August 27, 2004. 3. FDA's Food GMP Modernization Working Group Issues Food Recall Report for 1999-2003
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a report summarizing food recalls for the period from 1999-2003. The FDA states that it is preparing to revisit regulations on current good manufacturing practices (GMP) in order to determine appropriate revisions and explains that its Food GMP Modernization Working Group reviewed past recalls in order to provide the FDA with information in its consideration of the GMP regulations.
