The Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements (CITA) has issued a notice stating that, effective July 28, 2004, the above-listed Vietnam categories were increased for the recrediting of unused carryforward applied in 2003 and for carryforward from new 2005 quotas.

(According to CITA, on July 22, 2004, the U.S.-Vietnam bilateral textile agreement was extended another year through December 31, 2005. See ITT’s Online Archives or 04/29/03 news, (Ref: 03042905), for BP summary of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative’s (USTR’s) summary of the U.S.-Vietnam bilateral textile agreement which runs from May 1, 2003 through December 31, 2004, and rolls over for an additional year if the parties do not terminate the agreement, or renegotiate it by December 1, 2004, or by December 1 of any subsequent year until Vietnam enters the World Trade Organization (WTO).)
