Amended Final Results of AD Duty Administrative Review

As a result, the ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to revise the AD cash deposit rate (based on a revised AD margin) for Corus, effective for entries of subject merchandise with a time of entry on or after July 22, 2004.

Amended AD Cash Deposit Rate for a Time of Entry on or after 07/22/04:

Corus Staal BV (Corus)4.80% (from 4.94%)

Assessment Rate Instructions for the Review Period (05/03/01 - 10/31/02)

The ITA states that within 15 days of July 22, 2004, it will instruct CBP to liquidate entries of subject merchandise during the periods May 3, 2001 through October 29, 2001 and November 29, 2001 through October 31, 2002 that are from Corus at a calculated assessment rate (unless it is zero or de minimis (i.e., less than 0.50%), in which case liquidation will occur without regard to AD duties).

The ITA has previously stated that due to a 2003 Court of International Trade decision, suspension of liquidation was discontinued from October 30, 2001 through November 28, 2001 and subsequently reinstated upon issuance of the amended AD duty order. Thus, AD duties will not be assessed on merchandise that entered from October 30, 2001 to November 28, 2001. (See ITT's Online Archives or 01/08/04 news, 04010830 for BP summary of the amended AD duty order.)

(See ITA notice for more information, including the scope of the review. See ITT's Online Archives or 06/21/04 news, 04062140 for BP summary of the final results of this AD duty administrative review.)
