CBP's FAQ on Inbound Advance Electronic Cargo Information Requirements is Split into "All Modes" and "Vessel Mode" FAQs
U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP's) previous versions of its frequently asked questions (FAQ) and responses on the inbound portion of its final rule requiring the advance electronic presentation of information pertaining to cargo (sea, air, rail, and truck) prior to its being brought into, or sent from, the U.S. was divided into two sections - one entitled "All Modes" and one entitled "Vessel Mode."

CBP has now made each of these two sections its own FAQ - one for "All Modes" of transportation, which covers prior FAQ 1 - 26 (revised 05/25/04), and one for the "Vessel Mode" of transportation, which covers prior FAQ 27 - 44 (revised 05/21/04).
CBP has also added a notation on each of these documents indicating that these separate FAQ apply to inbound cargo only. (CBP sources had previously stated that its FAQ applied only to inbound, but the FAQ itself did not state this.)
