These notices supercede and replace other CBP notices issued on April 6, 2004 which stated that effective May 1, 2004, the existing textile and apparel visa requirements for Poland were being canceled.
Sources had previously stated that the visa requirements were being cancelled at the request of Poland, due to its accession to the European Union (EU) on May 1, 2004. However, CBP now states that the April 6, 2004 notices were issued inerror and that Poland's visa requirements will remain in effect through December 31, 2004.
(The quotas on Poland cats 335, 338/339, 410, 433, 434, 435, 443, 611, and 645/646 will also remain in effect through December 31, 2004.)
