CBP Posts Updated TSN ACE User Requirement Recommendations and ACE EDI Message Drafts
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has posted to its Web site certain updated Trade Support Network (TSN) committee Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) user requirement recommendations and ACE Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) message drafts.

Updated TSN Multi-Modal Requirement Recommendations
The TSN has updated the following ACE multi-modal requirement recommendations as of March 31, 2004:
Manifest Submission by Carriers - these are spreadsheets developed to illustrate the data necessary for both standard and preferred manifest messages and the confirmation messages the carrier can expect to receive.
Manifest Data Elements Spreadsheet - this spreadsheet lists the data elements used in EDI manifest transmissions.

ACE EDI Message Drafts
CBP has also posted to its Web site the following ACE EDI message draft which is updated as of March 16, 2004:
New/Modified EDI Messages for ACE Release 4 - Truck Manifest
According to CBP, these types of EDI messages are being released as an initial advisory to the trade of the anticipated messages to be used in future releases of ACE. CBP notes that these messages may be supplemented, augmented, and/or modified over time as conditions dictate.
