USTR Issues 2004 Trade Policy Agenda and 2003 Annual Report on Trade Agreements Program

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has issued a press release announcing that on March 1, 2004, the Bush Administration submitted to Congress the 2004 Trade Policy Agenda and 2003 Annual Report on the Trade Agreements Program.

According to the USTR, the Agenda and Report outline the Administration's trade initiatives for this year and review its work and accomplishments in 2003. Topics contained in the Agenda and Report include, among other things (partial list):

The President's Trade Policy Agenda for 2004:

Overview and the 2004 Agenda (which includes such topics as the pressing forward in the World Trade Organization (WTO), advancing negotiations in the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA), spanning the global with bilateral free trade agreements, ensuring a level playing filed with China, etc.).

2003 Annual Report on the Trade Agreements Program:

World Trade Organization (Doha Development Agenda, Prospects for 2004, etc.);
