CBP Administrative Messages, Electronic Bulletin Board Notices, Etc

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued an ABI administrative message announcing that the Treasury Department has terminated the certificate of authority qualifying Cumberland Casualty and Surety Company (Surety Code 234) as an acceptable surety on federal bonds effective February 24, 2004.

1. CBP No Longer Accepts New Single Transaction or Continuous Bonds with Cumberland Casualty and Surety Co. Listed as the Surety

CBP states that effective March 8, 2004, it will not accept any new single transaction or continuous bonds that have Cumberland Casualty and Surety Company listed as the surety. (CBP's Adm: 04-0473, dated 03/15/04, available via email or fax by emailing staff@brokerpower.com.)
