U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued an ABI administrative message announcing that its most recent Harmonized System (HS) update contains:

1. Most Recent HS Update Reflects Changes to FDA Flags , GSP, Etc.

changes required by the verification of the 2004 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) (CBP notes that it will continue to verify the 2004 HTS for the remainder of the year.);

changes to other government agency (OGA) flags from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA);

changes to the HTS mandated by Presidential Proclamation 7758, modifying Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) treatment for some countries (CBP notes that there are various effective dates.);

updated U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) pork fees, effective April 2, 2004; and

changes from the 484(f) Committee.
