2. U.S. and India Donate $40 Million to Combat Exploitive/Hazardous Child Labor in Indian Industries

The State Department's Washington File reports that the governments of the U.S. and India are donating $40 million, in partnership with the International Labor Organization (ILO), to combat exploitive and hazardous child labor in such Indian industries as cigarette-making, brassware, bricks, fireworks, footwear, bangles, locks, matches, quarried stones, and silk. 3. DHS Launches Information Sharing Program to Protect Critical Infrastructure

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a notice announcing the launch of the Protected Critical Infrastructure Information (PCII) Program which enables the private sector to voluntarily submit infrastructure information to the Federal government to assist the in reducing the U.S.' vulnerability to terrorist attacks. 4. FDA Announces Formats for Shellfish Shippers List

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a notice announcing the formats in which the Interstate Certified Shellfish Shippers List (ICSSL) is available. The ICSSL is published monthly for the information and use by food control officers, the seafood industry and other interested persons. 5. FDA Issues Letter to Growers, Shippers, & Packers of Fresh Lettuce and Tomatoes

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a letter to firms that grow, pack, or ship fresh lettuce and fresh tomatoes which is intended to make them aware of the FDA's concern regarding continuing outbreaks of foodborne illness associated with the consumption of fresh lettuce and fresh tomatoes, and actions the FDA recommends to enhance the safety of these products. 6. State Dept Administratively Debars Kam-Tech Systems & Owner/Manager

The State Department's Bureau of Political-Military Affairs has issued a notice announcing that the following persons have been administratively debarred for a period of three years: (1) Kam-Tech Systems, Ltd., an Israeli company located in Tel Aviv, Israel, and (2) David Menashe, owner and business manager of Kam-

Tech. The notice states that at the end of the three-year period, the above named persons will remain debarred unless licensing privileges are reinstated. According to the notice, an order of debarment prohibits the subject from participating directly or indirectly in the export of defense articles or defense services for which a license or approval is required by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The notice also states that exceptions may be made to this denial policy on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. 7. FDA Corrects Web Site Address in its February 2, 2004 Correction of its Prior Notice Interim Final Rule

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is correcting its February 2, 2004 Federal Register notice which corrected its October 10, 2003 interim final rule that requires, effective December 12, 2003, the submission to FDA of prior notice of food (including animal feed) that is imported or offered for import into the U.S. According to the FDA, its notice corrects certain typographical errors in a Web site address in its February 2, 2004 notice.
