CBP's Expected Compliance Dates for Mandatory Advance Electronic Cargo Information for Inbound Air Cargo by Region

In mid-February 2004, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) stated that it was delaying the compliance date for inbound air shipments from its previously announced date of March 4, 2004.

CBP's "Anticipated" Compliance Dates for Inbound Air Cargo by Region

CBP sources state that the following are the "anticipated" compliance dates for inbound air cargo:

Middle U.S.October 13, 2004
West coastDecember 13, 2004

According to CBP sources, these compliance dates are subject to change and will not be "official" until they are published in the Federal Register.
