Final Amendment to AD Suspension Agreement Signed

(See ITT's 11/19/97 news, (Ref:97111828) for BP summary of the 1997 Agreement.)

This final amendment extends, for another one-year period, the export limits provided for in Section III of the 1997 Agreement, so that they remain in force through November 1, 2004. According to the ITA, this extension provides for the continuation of exports of cut-to-length plate from Ukraine to the United States.

If, after November 1, 2004, the underlying proceeding remains suspended, the ITA states that the GOU and the ITA will enter into consultations to agree upon export limits in order to permit future shipments under the 1997 Agreement.

(See ITA notices for more information, including the text of the amendment.)
