CBP Administrative Messages, Electronic Bulletin Board Notices, Etc

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a notice announcing that the 2004 tariff-rate quota (TRQ) for Cheddar cheese from Canada, provided for in HTS Chapter 4, Additional U.S. Note (AUSN) 18, that opened on January 2, 2004, oversubscribed at opening moment. According to CBP, the pro rata percentage is 74% or .7400. CBP states that entries or withdrawals for consumption of Cheddar cheese from Canada presented after opening should be returned to the broker for correction.

(Please correct ITT's Online Archives or 01/09/04 news, 04010955 3, which summarized an incomplete CBP administrative message which stated simply that the cheddar cheese TRQ had oversubscribed at opening (without mentioning that what had oversubscribed was Canada.) 2. 2004 TRQ for Milk and Cream, Fluid or Frozen, Fresh or Sour Did Not Oversubscribe at Opening

CBP has issued a notice announcing that the TRQ for milk and cream, fluid or frozen, fresh or sour, provided for in HTS Chapter 4, AUSN 5, which opened on January 2, 2004, did not oversubscribe at the opening. Therefore, CBP states that all entries presented at opening have been charged and may be released. 3. 2004 TRQ for NAFTA/Mexico Peanuts Did Not Oversubscribe at Opening

CBP has issued a notice announcing that the NAFTA/Mexico TRQ for peanuts provided for in HTS Chapter 99, Subchapter VI, U.S. Note 16, which opened on January 2, 2004 did not oversubscribe at the opening. Therefore, CBP states that all entries presented at opening have been charged and may be released.
