The Journal of Commerce Online (JoC Online) has reported that the Indian government has issued new rules requiring ocean carriers and airlines to file import cargo manifests in advance. 2. FDA Issues Correction to Earlier Notice on Certain Small Entity Compliance Guides

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a correction to its December 12, 2003 Federal Register notice which announced the availability of two small entity compliance guides (SECGs) for its interim final rules on the prior notice of imported food and registration of food facility requirements of the Bioterrorism Act. FDA sources explain that the original notice failed to list contact parties for the SECG concerning registration. The FDA's notice of correction contains two such contact parties. 3. Ex-Im Bank Solicits Comments on Export Finance Application

The Export-Import Bank of the U.S. (Ex-Im Bank) has issued a notice stating that it has received an application to finance the export of $328 million of U.S. goods and services for a mining project in Argentina. The Ex-Im Bank submits written or electronic comments on this transaction within 14 days of December 17, 2003. See notice for further details.
