1. 2004 TRQ on Swiss or Emmentaler Cheese (Agriculture Licensing) Opened January 2, 2004

According to CBP, this TRQ opened on Friday, January 2, 2004 at 12 noon E.S.T., or its equivalent in other time zones, with the below-listed countries or areas having the following low-duty quantities:

2. 2004 TRQ on Dairy Products Opened January 2, 2004

CBP has announced the 2004 TRQ on dairy products provided for in HTS Chapter 4, AUSN 10. According to CBP, this TRQ opened on Friday, January 2, 2004 at 12 noon E.S.T., or its equivalent in other time zones, with the below-listed countries or areas having the following low-duty minimum access amounts:

Belgium and Denmark (aggregated)154,221 kg

In addition to the above amounts, 2,934,733 kg is available at the low-duty rate from most countries or areas. CBP notes that this TRQ was expected to oversubscribe on opening day. 3. Quota Limits & Visa Requirements for Certain China Textile & Apparel Categories as a Result of China Safeguard Action

CBP has issued a notice announcing the quota limits and visa requirements for China categories 222, 349/649, and 350/650 established as a result of the China safeguard action. 4. NVOCCs and VOCCs That Have Become Sea AMS Operational

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced that the following non-vessel operating common carriers (NVOCCs) and vessel operating common carriers (VOCCs) have become Sea Automated Manifest System (AMS) operational. According to CBP, the SCAC must be used in the entry/entry summary input to obtain cargo release via AMS. CBP notes that NVOCCs that are operational in Sea AMS are required to transmit electronic bill of lading data for all of their ports of call nationwide.

7. CBP Border Patrol Agents Increase Northern Border Security
