The Bureau of Transportation Statistics has issued a press release announcing that U.S. freight shipments with Canada and Mexico reached a record high in 2006. Goods valued at more than $866 billion crossed the U.S. border in trade with Canada and Mexico in 2006, which is 9.7% higher than the previous record set in 2005.
