CBP has posted an updated version (version 2.0) of its ACE Entry Summary Instructions document, which provides guidance to ACE users on what entry summary information to provide in ACE. CBP also posted an updated version (version 2.1) of its Business Rules and Process Document, which outlines entry summary processing in ACE. CBP previously issued a CSMS message stating that these documents were revised to coincide with the deployment of ESAR III (also referred to as ESAR A2.3.1a).
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a notice stating that as part of the ongoing efforts to centralize all continuous bond processing, effective March 1, 2010, all continuous bond applications (regardless of activity code) should be submitted directly to the Revenue Division for processing.
CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that the ACE ABI CATAIR Chapters and supporting documents for current ACE Entry Summary Processing have been taken out of draft status and reposted to CBP.gov at: http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/automated/modernization/ace_edi_messages/catair_main/abi_catair/. These documents support current ACE Production including the February 14, 2010 deployment of the ACE ESAR III capabilities relating to the filing and processing of AD/CVD entries and Case Management. CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that when running ESM 7008, Entry Summary Line Detail Report, for ACE entry summaries, users will need to change the default Creation Date (Begin) and Creation Date (End) for the report to return all ACE entry summaries requested. The Creation Date range currently defaults to 01/01/2009 - 01/01/2010. CBP asks the trade to change the Creation Date range to read 01/01/2000 - 12/31/2020 each time the report is run. U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a CSMS message outlining its policy on testing requirements for new Automated Commercial Environment ABI filers.
CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that it previously issued a message announcing that the Implementation Guidelines for ACE Ocean and Rail Manifest (M1) are available on the CBP website. CBP notes that updated ACE ABI CATAIR chapters related to the ACE Ocean and Rail Manifest Deployment are also posted. CBP adds that these Implementation Guidelines are specifically for use with the future ACE.
