U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted an updated version of its trade outreach webinar schedule, as follows:
At the May 11, 2010 meeting of the Departmental Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Related Homeland Security Functions (COAC), COAC adopted the recommendations of its Importer Security Filing Subcommittee regarding finality of the ISF transaction; improvements to the ISF progress reports for Tier 2/3 C-TPAT members; and continuing ISF outreach in 2010. The recommendations have been submitted to CBP for its consideration.
CBP has posted an updated version of its Excel spreadsheet providing details on ACE programming issues. The spreadsheet includes the issue number, date opened, description, status, scheduled delivery date, and comments. The House Ways and Means Committee’s Trade Subcommittee has issued a press release announcing that it will be holding a hearing on May 20, 2010 to review customs operations administered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that ACE entry summary filing under application code AE requires cargo certification when the entry is first transmitted if Remote Location Filing will be requested by the filer. ACE also requires the cargo certification on every subsequent transmission of the RLF entry number. CBP has issued a CSMS message announcing that it has posted the following revised ACE ABI CATAIR Chapters: Entry Summary Create/Update and Importer/Bond Query. CBP has also updated its Introduction and Getting Started section of the ACE ABI CATAIR. CBP has updated its ACE ABI CATAIR change record to reflect the changes made in these sections.
