CBP has issued a memorandum announcing a special import quota of 15,105,052 kg for upland cotton that is provided for in HTS Chapter 99, Subchapter III, U.S. Note 6 and is entered under HTS 9903.52.07. (CBP notes that this quantity is not subject to the TRQs in Chapter 52 Additional U.S. Notes 5 through 10.)

Broker Power is now issuing weekly summary reports highlighting the most active textile and apparel tariff preference levels1 from U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s “Quota Weekly Commodity Status Report.” BP’s weekly report also lists the TRQ commodities on CBP’s weekly “TRQ/TPL Threshold to Fill List.”
CBP's Port of Chicago has issued a Pipeline amending an earlier Pipeline that provided guidelines for preparing Single Transaction Bonds (STBs). The earlier Pipeline is being amended in order to clarify and emphasize certain items.
CBP posted an updated list of the interest rates (updated for the fourth quarter of 2010) for additional duty payments owed to Customs as a result of reconciliation. CBP notes that when a reconciliation results in additional monies owed CBP, the payment must be made with interest, calculated by the filer using the rates provided in the list.
