U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued its weekly tariff rate quota and tariff preference level commodity report as of September 27, 2011.
CBP has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor TRQs and TPLs that are approaching their restraint limit or have filled their in-quota (low) rate. The list is divided into two sections: those that are at least 85% filled and those that are filled.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued CSMS #11-000223 to announce two two technical seminars for trade software developers. The purpose of these seminars will be to discuss upcoming programming changes for new functionality scheduled to be delivered as part of the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). Parties should notify CBP of their interest in the seminars by September 30, 2011.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued CSMS #11-000224, which it states corrects a typographical error in its five-page guidance on Entry/Entry Summary Deletion and Cancellation Information that was the subject of CSMS #11-000219. CBP's corrected guidance is available here.

CBP has posted an updated version of its CF 1400 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Entrances) - an electronic query report for CF 1400 of the Vessel Management System (VMS), in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by entrances. CBP has also posted an updated CF 1401 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Clearances) - an electronic query report for CF 1401 of the VMS, in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by clearances.
CBP has posted an updated version of its Public Automated Commercial System FIRMS (Facilities Information and Resources Management Systems) report that is organized by port code and alphabetically by company name.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued CSMS #11-000222 to extend to October 14, 2011 (from Sept 23) the deadline for brokers to enter ACE Entry Banks for Rail Line Release. In addition, CBP is experiencing a problem in the ACE Portal that prevents users from viewing and creating ACE Entry Banks for Rail Line Release. If a broker has already created the ACE Entry Banks and cannot view them, do not attempt to enter this data again. CBP will send out a notice when this problem has been resolved.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued CSMS #11-000221 stating that CBP has not completed the deployment process for the AM 100 Courtesy Notice Liquidation Report. CBP is asking both the field and the trade to refrain from running the report or pulling any ad hoc data from the new liquidation tables until they have received an update that the deployment is complete. The hits on the tables by users are impacting the initial data load into the reports tables.
