CBP has posted a revised version of its Running ACE Reports "Topic" document, which provides instructions for all existing ACE portal account types, with the exception of truck carriers. (Instructions on running ACE reports for truck carriers are featured as a separate document.) The revised version now includes information on the recently deployed Post Summary Correction functionality. A new Appendix C, PSCs Impact on ACE Reports, has been added to the document. CBP's Port of Miami has issued an Information Bulletin soliciting applications to operate a Centralized Examination Station (CES) for Miami, Florida. The solicitation period commenced June 1 and expires July 31, 2011. Public comments are also invited and are due by July 1, 2011. CBP has posted an updated version of its ABI Error Message Dictionary, a table containing detailed explanations of the error messages that are generated when a filer's transmission is rejected by ABI.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is requesting comments by August 12, 2011, on its existing “Petition for Remission or Mitigation of Forfeitures and Penalties Incurred” information collection.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a CSMS message announcing that an updated version of the Post Summary Corrections Web-based Training (WBT) is now available for all brokers and importers.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a CSMS message stating that users may experience sporadic delays in ABI and AMS. CBP is aware of the problem and continues to investigate. A notice will be issued once the problem has been resolved.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a CSMS message stating that the Food and Drug Administration is aware of system slowness which is causing delays in entry processing by FDA. FDA has identified a technical issue that is preventing some entries/lines from being staged for admissibility review. In turn, entry reviewers are not prompted to make an admissibility decision.
According U.S. Customs and Border Protection sources, the Participating Government Agency Message Set, a harmonized set of information needed by federal agencies1 to approve imports of cargo, will be available for both ACE and ACS transactions once it is implemented.
