On March 3, 2011, a bipartisan group of 28 Representatives sent a letter to U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) Kirk demanding he file a complaint with the World Trade Organization against China’s unfair trade policy that limits exports of rare earth elements.
On February 11, 2011, Representative Rush (D) introduced H.R. 656, the African Investment and Diaspora Act. It was referred to the House Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, and Human Rights on March 8, 2011.
On January 12, 2011, Representative Fortenberry (R) introduced H.R. 272, a bill to exempt ordinary books and paper-based printed materials from the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) lead content limits for children’s products.
