State Department Advisory Committee on Private International Law plans a public meeting of its Study Group on International Arbitration and Conciliation, it said in a Federal Register notice. The meeting is to prepare for a meeting of the Working Group of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law scheduled for Oct. 1-5 in Vienna, Austria, to continue a second reading of draft rules on transparency. The public meeting is to obtain the views of stakeholders in advance of the Working Group session. The State Department is extending the public comment period for the New International Trade Crossing Presidential Permit application, it said in a Federal Register notice scheduled for Aug. 16. The original deadline was Aug. 9, but, in response to requests for an extension, the period is extended until Sept. 10, it said. Comments may be submitted to NITCComments@state.gov. The State Department is seeking Office of Management and Budget approval for an extension of current authority for the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls to collect information for Commodity Jurisdiction Determinations (Form Number: DS-4076). The request was assigned OMB Control Number: 14050163. There is 60 days for public comment. PMDDTC estimated the voluntary information collection requires 10 hours per response, for a total of 12,600 hours.
