Irving Williamson on June 17 became chairman of the International Trade Commission for the second time, after outgoing Chairman Meredith Broadbent’s term expired June 16, ITC said (here). A commission member since 2007, Williamson previously chaired it from June 17, 2012, to June 16, 2014.
William Reinsch, previously president of the National Foreign Trade Council, joined Kelley Drye in Washington as a senior international trade and government relations advisor, the law firm said in a news release (here).
The Internet Association has hired Ari Giovenco, who most recently worked as senior director for Congressional Affairs in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, as its director of Trade and International Policy, the organization announced (here).
Megan Montgomery, currently principal consultant for MWM Consultants, will be executive vice president at the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America effective July 11, NCBFAA said in a news release. Montgomery also previously worked in government affairs for the American Association of Exporters and Importers.
William Perry, previously a lawyer with Dorsey and Whitney, joined the Harris Moure law firm in Seattle, he said in a blog post (here). Perry's practice includes "antidumping and countervailing duty cases, Section 337 intellectual property cases and various Customs issues related to international trade cases," said Harris Moure (here).
Barnes Richardson began an "of-counsel relationship" with the Joern Law Firm and its principal, Chuck Joern, said Barnes Richardson in a news release. Joern practices exclusively in the area of Consumer Product Safety Commission regulation and enforcement. "CPSC regulation and enforcement has been a growing area of concern for our importer clients and for Customs and Border Protection," said Brian Walsh, managing partner of Barnes Richardson's Chicago office. "Having a relationship with an expert in this area of law will help us ensure that Barnes Richardson provides a full suite of services for importers."

Mohawk Global Trade Advisors hired Adrienne Graddy as a senior advisor, the company said in a news release (here). Graddy, a licensed customs broker, previously worked in the "regulatory divisions at several of Chicago's most prominent businesses," said Mohawk.
Mark Hirzel, Los Angeles district manager for A.N. Deringer, was invited to join the Federal Maritime Commission's Supply Chain Innovation Team, A.N. Deringer said in a news release. FMC Commissioner Rebecca Dye is overseeing the team initiative, which is meant to bring together industry members to consider solutions to port congestion and other supply chain issues (see 1602020039). Dye will give further details on the team's makeup and the initiative during the first meeting, scheduled for May 3. The "inaugural session will involve approximately 36 industry leaders from across America’s international ocean transportation supply chain participating in three small innovation teams to identify actionable process improvements," said the FMC in a news release (here).
UPS promoted Cindy Miller, previously president of the UPS Europe region, to president of global freight forwarding, the company said in a news release (here).
