The Commerce Department began administrative reviews for certain firms subject to antidumping and countervailing duty orders with April anniversary dates. The agency said it intends to issue the final results of these reviews by April 30, 2015.
The Commerce Department issued its quarterly list of (i) completed antidumping and countervailing duty scope rulings and (ii) anticircumvention determinations. The following list covers completed scope and anticircumvention rulings for the period Jan. 1, 2014, through March 31, 2014:
The Commerce Department made a preliminary affirmative antidumping determination that 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane from China (A-570-998) is being sold in the U.S. at less than fair value. The agency found "critical circumstances" for all Chinese companies except Bluestar, and will impose retroactive AD duty cash requirements on entries from those companies effective Feb. 28. For Bluestar, AD duty cash deposit requirements will take effect May 29.
The Commerce Department issued an antidumping duty order on diffusion-annealed, nickel-plated flat-rolled steel products from Japan (A-588-869). The order details a "gap period" of May 18-27 of no AD duty liability due to the expiration of the "provisional measures" period.

The Food and Drug Administration will hold a public meeting June 26 in Washington on its proposal to revise nutrition facts labels on food. Two FDA proposed rules issued in March would revise the information required on nutrition facts labels, set additional recordkeeping requirements, increase serving sizes and require new information for packages that contain more than one serving but could be consumed in one sitting (see 14022713).
