On December 29, 2010, the President signed into law S. 3386, the Restore Online Shopper’s Confidence Act (Public Law 111-345).
On December 18, 2010, the President signed into law H.R. 2480, the Truth in Fur Labeling Act of 2010, which will require most apparel with fur to be labeled (Public Law 111-313).
On December 22, 2010, the President signed into law H.R. 3082, the Continuing Appropriations and Surface Transportation Extensions Act, 2011 (Public Law 111-322).

On January 4, 2011, the President signed into law the “FDA Food Safety Modernization Act,” as Public Law 111-353 in order to modernize the food safety system to better prevent food-borne illness and respond to outbreaks. On January 2, 2011, the President signed into law H.R. 847, the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010. As enacted, H.R. 847 contains a new excise tax on foreign procurement which was opposed by several trade groups.
On December 16, 2010, the Senate passed H.R. 2142, the Government Efficiency, Effectiveness, and Performance Improvement Act of 2010. The House passed H.R. 2142 on December 21, 2010, clearing the measure for the President.
H.R. 2751, the FDA Food Safety and Modernization Act, which was passed by the House on December 21, 2010 and the Senate on December 19, 2010, is now available. The bill has been cleared for signature by the President, who is expected to sign the legislation into law.
The amended version of H.R. 6517, the Omnibus Trade Act, which was passed by the House and Senate on December 22, 2010, is now available. This measure has been cleared for the White House, and the President is expected to sign it into law.
