The Agricultural Marketing Service will remove flags from about 1,700 Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes in ACE that had previously indicated potential organic filing requirements, CBP said in a CSMS message Oct. 17. The USDA agency’s AM7 flag, which indicates tariff codes that may be subject to AMS organic program filing requirements, will no longer be associated with the HTS codes in Chapters 53-94 of the tariff schedule.
Chinese drone supplier DJI said CBP is holding up shipments of select drones. In a blog post Oct. 17, the company said CBP cited the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) as the reason for the holdups. DJI denied that any of its goods were produced with forced labor, saying, “this assertion made against [us] ... is entirely unfounded and categorically false.” The company said it's working with CBP to provide the necessary documentation, “demonstrating [its] compliance with the UFLPA.” CBP declined to comment.

CBP has defined two dates in late October for when the agency expects to have enhancements ready for two initiatives, one related to the processing of multiple entry summaries and the other related to unarchiving a previous collection to make an adjustment, according to CBP's National Development & Deployment Schedule for October.
