CBP seized toys within four shipments at the Port of San Juan for containing excessive levels of lead, the agency said (here). CBP seized the goods, worth about $100,000, in August and September, said CBP. A Consumer Product Safety Commission lab found the toys to include lead over the legal limit, which is a concentration greater than 0.009 percent (90 parts per million) in paint or any similar surface coatings, CBP said.
