Brady Says House Needs to Stay on Schedule to Get MTB Done
Rep. Kevin Brady of Texas, the top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee, said it's a lot of work to get through the nearly 2,700 petitions that the International Trade Commission says are worthy of tariff relief through the Miscellaneous Tariff Bill.

“We’ve got to stay on schedule on that,” he told International Trade Today on Oct. 14. “This very targeted duty relief actually saves jobs, allows us to offer consumers affordable products.” Brady said he thinks MTB could be finalized before the end of the year, since the committee staff does have experience with this process. He said Republican and Democratic staffers are working together well to get it done. “We’ve always come together” for MTB, he said.
